I am Michelle Barnes, a Portland-based professional baker, originally from Eugene, Oregon. I specialize in custom cookies, dessert tables, and cakes. After spending decades in the field of interior design, I decided to make my passion for baking into a full-time career. After many years of studying the pastry arts and taking classes, I opened my kitchen for event baking.

I picked up my mantra of “form follows function” from my experience in Interior design and carried it into how I make desserts; make it work, then make it pretty. The flavor needs to remind you of how incredible taste is to the event experience. I want you to taste the sharpness of the lemon curd, the richness of the dark chocolate truffle brownies, and the sweetness of the icing on the cupcakes.
